Postal Service

We do not charge any postage for fertile hatching eggs purchased from Uk Poultry.

We have a minimum order value of £50 for accessories purchased from Uk Poultry to qualify for free post to the Uk mainland. If you order less than £50 postage costs will be added at check out.

We use Royal Mail 24 Hour Tracked for smaller items up to 2Kg and Parcelforce 24 Hour Courier for larger items up to 30kg.

We have a £10 one-off charge and deliver 2 days per week. If you choose our delivery service you can rest assured that your eggs, chicks or hens are treated with the best of care.

If you have ordered your hens online and choose our postal services. Then we will contact you from the information you have provided in the checkout process. Arranging delivery at the best time that suits you.

If You Choose Private Animal Couriers

You can choose a specialist animal courier service if you are not in one of our delivery regions. We will make sure that your hens have plenty of feed and water for their trip and make sure the courier is caring & responsible.

We are not responsible for the hens once they have been taken by the courier of your choice. We will only let the courier take your hens if we think they are fit to do so. As we mentioned above they will have plenty of feed and water for their trip.

We always recommend that you read all the reviews you can find on the courier service you choose. Also, check that they are reputable and have all the insurances needed. This can be easy to achieve with a quick phone call to the courier.

We will only ever send you healthy eggs, chicks and hens to our customers. After all, we want to build an ongoing relationship with you as a customer and as a friend.

The Best Way To Collect Your Hens

We would always advise that you collect your chicks, hens or eggs yourself. We have boxes available to purchase at £2 to carry your hens. If it is not possible to collect your order. Then the next best solution is for us to deliver your order we will take the best care possible.

If you are ordering eggs online send by 24-hour postal service which we have found to be the best way to get your eggs. The eggs are packaged in special packaging to protect them from damage. This is the most common way that people order fertile hatching eggs online.

It is hard to say what type of effect the postal service has on fertile eggs. I can say that I have had many fertile eggs delivered with no problems. Also if it was not a secure way to send fertile eggs then breeders and sellers would not use it.

It is more down to the way eggs are packaged that will be used to protect your fertile eggs while in transport. We use the best packaging and make sure we only send out quality fertile eggs.
